Current Clinical Policy Reviews
There are no clinical commissioning policies currently out for public engagement and review.
Information on the most recent policies that have been reviewed can be seen below. This information will be updated when NHS Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB), which has replaced NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), has identified the next clinical policies to be reviewed.
The Lancashire and South Cumbria ICB has adopted all the clinical commissioning policies that existed under CCGs and will continue to develop and review these policies going forward.
The most recent draft clinical policies out to public engagement were as follows:
- The Provision of Continuous Glucose Monitoring and Flash Glucose Monitoring for patients with Diabetes Mellitus (an existing policy updated to reflect changes in NHS England guidance)
- Provision of Wigs section of the Policy for the Commissioning of Cosmetics Procedures
- Facial Nerve Physiotherapy and Electrotherapy (an updated existing policy)
- Hernia (abdominal) Surgery (an existing policy in the central Lancashire area but a new policy for all other areas, updated and including a limited EBI2 related element)
- Chronic Rhinosinusitis Surgery (a new EBI2 related policy)
Comments on these policies can no longer be submitted as the public engagement process has ended.
Your comments have been fed back to your ICB and the Commissioning Policy Development and Implementation Working Group, as part of the development process.
If you have any further questions about these policies or the process being undertaken, contact the ICB or email healthierlsc.communications@nhs.net
