Cancer Alliance Network Groups
The Cancer Network team work closely with the clinical and cross-cutting network groups across Lancashire and South Cumbria.
The groups are made up of health professionals from the Acute Trusts in the Strategic Clinical Network footprint and also include patient and carer representatives. The groups meet three times per year, holding two business meetings and one educational/audit meeting.
The groups develop network clinical guidelines, agree network patient pathways, audit services across the network and produce annual reports and work programmes. They participate annually in a peer review process run by NHS England Quality Surveillance Team which ensures that services are operating at safe levels and conform to national guidance.
